Terms and Conditions

"We", "us," and "our" (and "VW") means VW Credit Canada, Inc., operating as Volkswagen Financial Services, and our corporate affiliates and subsidiaries. We provide financial services to eligible customers of authorized Volkswagen motor vehicle dealers (each a "Dealer") in Canada to finance or lease vehicles.

"You" and "your" means the first applicant and, jointly and severally (solidarily in Quebec), the co-applicant, if applicable.

a) General:

You are applying for credit from us and your selected Dealer (the "Selected Dealer"). You represent, warrant, and covenant with us that the information in this application is true and correct to the best of your knowledge, that you are of the legal age of majority in the province or territory in which you live, you are not a bankrupt or about to become a bankrupt, and agree that your application will be evaluated based upon the information shown in the application (vehicle, first applicant, co-applicant if any, employer, etc.).

If any information in this application is incomplete or needs further investigation, and if you consent below, the Selected Dealer may contact you by electronic means such as email, or by telephone, to obtain the additional information needed to assess your creditworthiness, following which you will need to complete a paper application form at the Selected Dealer's location.

You must visit the Selected Dealer to choose a vehicle, to complete the sale or lease process, and to complete the conditional sale or lease agreement. If you choose to visit a Dealer other than the Selected Dealer, change the vehicle, change your desired payment terms, or change the principal amount of the credit that you are now seeking, you will need to apply again for credit at such Dealer and will need to acknowledge that another consumer report may be requested in connection with that new credit application.

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, applicable law requires us and Dealers to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who applies for or opens an account for credit with us. Consequently, when you apply for or complete a conditional sale or leasing transaction, you will be asked for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow the Dealer and us to identify you and confirm you are the person making this credit application and entering into the conditional sale or lease agreement. You will be asked by the Dealer to see your current and unexpired driver's license and other identifying documents.

Only one vehicle may be financed or leased, regardless of the number of pre-approvals received with this credit application.

b) Use of electronic means:

Unfortunately, we only provide online credit application services by electronic means. If you do not consent to use electronic means, we will be unable to provide you this online service and ask that you see a Dealer and apply for credit using a paper application form.

c) Credit report consent:

You authorize us to obtain information, including a consumer credit report, from, and to give information to, a credit bureau in connection with your credit application or in connection with updates, renewals, extensions, or enforcements of any credit granted as a result of this online consumer credit application. Upon request, you will be informed of the name and address of the credit reporting agency that furnished the report(s) about you.

d) Privacy and consent to use of electronic communications:

Your personal information contained in this online credit application will be collected by us and will be disclosed to the Selected Dealer or any other Dealer you choose. How your personal information will be used and to who it will be disclosed, is set out in the Volkswagen Financial Services Privacy Policy here. Please read our Privacy Policy before submitting your application. By checking below and submitting your online credit application, you are consenting to use of electronic means and communications for purposes of processing and approving this credit application by both us and the Selected Dealer.

If, after you submit this online credit application, you wish to withdraw your consent with us, which, for certainty, does not include the Selected Dealer or any other Dealers, you may do so at any time by calling 1.888.412.2834 or writing us at 300-4865 Marc-Blain St., St-Laurent, Quebec H4R 3B2. Attention: Privacy Officer. If you wish to withdraw your consent with the Selected Dealer, you may do so at any time by contacting the Selected Dealer at the address or phone number listed above.
